Due to Richard Dawkins’ own site having bandwidth problems with the download version of his 1991 Royal Institution Christmas Lectures, Growing Up In The Universe, I’ve decided to put up a download mirror for my readers – I’m assuming that as these files have been released into the bittorrent networks, there will be no problems with my sharing these files, although I have, as a matter of courtesy, provided a direct link to the RDRFS online store if anyone wishes to purchase the lectures on DVD.
All files are in Quicktime (.mov) format and the full set weigh in at about 600Mb.

The Royal Institution Christmas Lectures for Children were founded by Michael Faraday in 1825, with himself as the inaugural lecturer. The 1991 lecturer was Richard Dawkins whose five one-hour lectures, originally televised by the BBC, are now available free online, courtesy of The Richard Dawkins Foundation for Reason and Science. The entire 5-hour program is also available on a 2-DVD set through the RDFRD online store.
Nice one matey! 😀
Thank you. 365KBs solid.

Hi,
If you follow the link to the RD website it takes you to a different website to that linked on your previous post.
I cannot find any link to a free download on the latter website, in fact it appears that you have to buy the download through a company called Burning Shed.
Out of interest why are there different websites with apparently different rules? Or have I got it wrong?
Download from here – the other links are to the Foundation and for if you want to buy the DVD.
