You’ve gotta love this year’s Eurovision Song Contest, not just one but two bona fide comedy classics and we’ve only had the semi-final so far…

First up, there’s the Lithuanian entry by LT United, who’re apparently the biggest thing on the alternative scene over there. How can I describe this? The Flying Pickets on speed?

And then there’s the mighty Finns, Lordi, with what has to be the funniest thing I’ve seen in years – seriously I was honestly watching this last night with tears of laughter rolling down my face.

How to describe it adequately? Well first it is sooooooo crap that it is really is hysterically funny – just imagine a collection of villains from Power Rangers have formed a late 1980’s Ozzy Osbourne covers band and you start to get some idea of just what this is like. It’s Spinal Tap meets the Class of Nuke ‘Em High.

Oh fuck it, just see for yourself and keep a close look out for the singer’s batwings about half way through – absolutely fucking priceless…
